This facility for Dogs Trust in Dublin was finished, not only on time but on budget and to an exceptionally high standard. It is clearly one of the best dog rehoming facilities in the world.
The project includes a number of state-of-the-art features such as electric opening hatches for dogs, full glazed-in stainless steel compartments for the animals, with up to date ventilation and heating systems, all run on renewable technologies including ground source heat pumps, solar water heating, low energy lighting, and re-cycled rain water. The facility also has a sewage treatment system to provide on-site purification of waste water.
